Jill and Nick grew up in the town of Southeast Aurora, but somehow, their paths never truly crossed. They went to the same grocery stores, had some of the same
friends, and even attended the same high school—just two years apart. Yet, life kept them on parallel tracks, never quite intersecting.
It wasn’t until Nick’s freshman year of college, over eight hundred miles away from Aurora, that they met through mutual friends at a college house party. They bonded instantly over a shared hometown and their individual love for cold stone cotton candy ice cream with gummy bears and marshmallows.
They fell in love slowly but deeply—grounded in the familiarity of their roots and excited by the new life they were building together. Once covid hit, they returned home— and thanks to the excuse of a “covid bubble” they got to spend every day together growing in their relationship and getting closer to each other's families.
And now, six years later Jill and Nick are inviting all of their families and closest friends to celebrate their love and witness their promises of forever.
It turns out, some love stories just need time to find their way home.
